Joyride Founder Named a Notable Leader in Communications by Crain's Detroit Business

Recognition highlights Joyride Group’s Founder and CEO Katelyn Davis’s leadership in mobility communications and her work helping innovators tell stories that move the industry forward.

DETROIT, Mich. — November 2, 2026 — Crain’s Detroit Business has named Katelyn Davis, Founder and CEO of Joyride Group, among its 2026 Notable Leaders in Communications list.

Davis founded Joyride Group to help companies and organizations across automotive, transportation, mobility technology, and infrastructure make complex ideas clear and compelling. In three years, she has grown the Detroit-area firm into an integrated communications partner serving clients across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, while continuing to support Detroit startups and mobility projects.

Under Davis’s leadership, Joyride brings strategy, creativity and execution together across five connected areas: strategy planning; brand identity and narrative; public relations; content marketing; and events.

Davis guides Joyride’s business strategy, client counsel and creative direction, while developing new business and leading the firm’s team and partner network. She brings more than a decade of experience in the mobility sector, working with companies and organizations shaping how people and goods move.

“Good communications can help people see what a new technology makes possible and why it matters,” said Davis. “I’m proud of the work our team does to make those stories clear, credible and meaningful. This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes from the Detroit community that has shaped my career and Joyride’s work.”

Davis’s career has focused on connecting mobility innovation with the people and communities it affects. Her work spans automotive, transportation, electrification, emerging mobility technologies and infrastructure. She also co-founded Detroit Moves, a community festival and forum connecting Detroit residents with the region’s mobility ecosystem, and co-authored Women Driven Mobility: Rethinking the Way the World Moves.

Davis’s recognition marks Joyride Group’s second honor in the past month. The firm was also named a recipient of Founded by Women’s Marketing and Communications Impact Award.
